Axon Consulting participates in the ITU Regional Economic Dialogue of Telecommunications/ICTs

The ITU Regional Economic Dialogue of Telecommunications/ICTs, held in Mexico City on 4-6 September 2018, was organized by the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) in close collaboration with the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) of Mexico.

The forum aimed to promote dialogue and exchange of experiences about different topics, including regulatory and economic approaches in the digital ecosystem, economic and financial issues in a converged broadband environment, and challenges and ways of stimulating innovation in the digital ecosystem.

Our expert Álvaro Neira, Senior Manager, was invited to participate as panellist in different sessions, including:

– Presentation of the project carried out by Axon Consulting on behalf of CONATEL Paraguay and the ITU for the update of the interconnection rates for mobile services. The new rates set by CONATEL are based on the results of the Bottom-Up LRIC+ cost models developed by Axon Consulting. The presentation can be downloaded here.

– Presentation of the study “Implications of 5G Deployment on Future Business Models” commissioned by the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) to Axon Consulting and DotEcon. The presentation can be downloaded here.

Axon Consulting appreciates the opportunity to have participated in this forum. Axon Consulting joined the ITU-D in 2016 in recognition of its distinguished track-record in providing consulting services to international blue-chip clients, and its potential for partnering with the ITU in initiatives contributing to the development of the global telecommunications sector.
